Ted gave a wonderful workshop on "Making Water" at MCA EXPO 2007. Ted is definitely a wonderful hobbyist and a very knowledgeable speaker. Your club will not be disappointed. I would recommend Ted Judy as a speaker to any aquarium club that's interested.

Ted,
I've talked with you a handful of times before, and you came out last year to speak at the Silicon Valley Aquarium Society in San Jose, CA--a presentation which we greatly enjoyed. This year, I'm the club's speaker chair, and I would like to invite you back to speak with us again. Any month except October (our mega-auction) is still open, so whatever would suit you would be wonderful. We would of course take care of your air-fare, lodging, etc. Please let me know if this would be a possibility!

Regards,
Diana Heideman

I have been keeping and breeding tropical fish for over 30 years. Ted's program on raising fry was one of the best and informative programs I have ever attended. Some programs are just slideshows, but this one was educational. The most advanced aquarist as well as the beginner would greatly benefit from this program. I attended this program yesterday and I couldn't sleep last night because I wanted to get up and start applying the things I learned in my fish room.

Hello Everyone,

Summer is over which means that the seasonal 'downtime' for aquarium clubs is coming to an end. There is a possibility that the Madison Aquarium Gardeners' Club, which meets on the UW campus in he science house, may morph into a general aquarium club. There is a meeting tomorrow night (Sept.18) where the idea will be discussed. The meeting starts at 7:00. You can get directions a www.aquariumgardeners.com.

Eric Bodrock of www.alloddballaquatics.com will be the guest speaker (topic: corydoras catfish)at the next Milwaukee Aquarium Society meeting. He and his girlfriend Regina (also an very good aquarist) will be staying with me in Stoughton for the weekend. I would like to have an evening dessert reception for them at my home on Thursday Sept. 25 (the Milwaukee meeting is Friday Seot. 26). If you can make it please RSVP to me at tjudy@tedsfishroom.com. Everyone bring a small dessert to share. I will provide coffee, tea and softdrinks. BYOB if you want something alcoholic.

Hey,

If this idea ever picks up again, count me in! I'm presently unemployed and could help out a bit with advertising, setting up and tracking BAP and the membership roster, and could host a meeting in a few months when my fishroom is completed. My dad works at Living Art part time, and I think I could convince him to help get the word out. Keep me posted.

Well everyone... this discussion has sort of died away. I know that everyone gets pretty busy in the summer.

Unfortunately my schedule is so packed with fish-related events that I do not foresee a time to have a get together at my place anytime until after Labor Day. There is no reason why a get together could not be planned for somewhere else, however.

I would LOVE to see a club get started in the Madison area, but I just cannot be the spearhead to get it done. I will support the effort in every way I can, but my role will have to be as an active advisor. Someone else will have to do the ground work. Between the American Cichlid Association, the Milwaukee A. S., my speaking schedule and my planning for a trip tpo Africa in February... I am a tad swamped.
